Review Bad Customers: Why, Where and How?

It's a common practice for customers to review bad businesses. But what about the opposite? Is there a way for business owners, employees and professionals to rate and review bad customers? Well, the answer is yes, and that's exactly what Rebolio allows you to do. Here, we'll discuss how you can do it, and why this is a fair practice to pick up as you run your business.

Why Reviewing (Bad And Good) Customers?

Let's put it the other way first: why do people review bad and good businesses? The answer seems obvious: to let other people know. No one would contest the right of an angry customer who had an horrible experience with a given business to review it online. That way, other potential customers will know that, in their opinion, they should avoid that particular company.

Another reason why people review businesses on platforms such as Yelp, Tripadvisor, Facebook or Google Maps, is to let the business owners know about the things they disliked or appreciated as a customer. Some may even argue that their feedback is an opportunity for the reviewed company to improve their service.

Both of these reasons could apply to reviewing customers. First, it allows other business to know about a customer history. No one wants to deal with dead beat customers, or customers who repeatedly scam postal service, are unfairly complaining or exhibiting any trait that would justify businesses to prefer avoiding them. Second, it can be a way for customers to realize that the customer isn't "always right" and that a "king" is not a "tyrant".

Finally, allowing business onwers and professionals to fairly review is a good counter-point to a recent trend which saw certain customers using reviewing platforms as a weapon or a tool to blackmail companies into obtaining things they are not entitled to. Some platforms even have tools to report such behaviours. Since online reviews became such an important asset for physical businesses, most of them would avoid like the plague customers known for weaponizing these reviewing platforms.

Where Can You Review Bad Customers?

Our website allows you to review customers from the four main sectors of industry: raw materials, manufacturing and construction, retail and services, and intellectual services. You can search the existing database and add your customer if they're not already there. To add and review customers, you'll simply need to create an account first, which can be done in a matter of seconds.

A couple of other websites allow you to review customers, such as RateMyCustomers.com (free) or ContractorsCustomers.com (paying). Both or these websites are focusing on contractors customers (especially the second one) while Rebolio is designed to accept and encourage reviews from all types of businesses. On a side note, our website also lets you review influencers and even review reviewers. We want it to be as welcoming as possible to all kind of professionnals, whether from retails, hospitality, intellectual services, construction, etc.

Last but not least, our website is entirely free to use and access.

How To Review Bad Customers?

The first step before reviewing a customer is to either find them or add them to the website. When adding a new customer, you can share the following information: full name, city, state and country, and social media links such as Twitter, Facebook, Tripdavisor, Pinterest or Yelp. The more links you have about a particular customer and the better it is to make sure they're clearly identified by their online presence. Once it's done, you can actually write your review.

The main rule to follow is to always leave honest and fair reviews. Just as when a customer reviews a businesses, you're giving a feedback about what you experienced with a particular person who happened to be your customer. Being factual is thus the most important thing. In order to respect our guidelines, you can share what you experienced, how you felt, but not infer things that you don't have any proof about.

For each review, you can give additional information such as the date you had this person as a customer, the place, the name of your company, your position in it, as well as the exact activity of your business. All these fields from the review form are optional except the one where you share you activity sector (for example "Construction", "Retail and Services", etc.).

The last mandatory element of your review will regard the Trust Score you attribute to a certain customer. It takes the form of a question "Would you recommend that customer to fellow professionals", to which you can answer "Yes" (100% score), "I'm not sure" (50%) or "No" (0%). The global Trust Score of a customer are computed on the answers to this question.

That's basically all there is to know to actually review a customer on Rebolio!

Sharing The Good As Well!

The thing is that, most likely, you generally have good experiences with customers. So don't only review and rate bad customers: you should first and foremost share your feedback about great experience that you had with delightful customers. This will only give you more credibility when you give a negative feedback about a particular customer.

As noted above, Rebolio doesn't only allow you to rate your customers, it lets you review influencers and reviewers as well. So if you'd like to react to a certain reviewer's that left you a great review, or if you'd like to comment on your favorite YouTube channel's, feel free to do so. That being said, we wish you a happy reviewing!
