Terms of Service

These terms apply to the hosted instance of Rebolio, operated by Neosis Limited (Room 607, Yen Sheng Centre, 64 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
Who can sign up
You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account, in line with GDPR requirements in the EU. If you are signing up on behalf of a person younger than that, please don't.
Your account
You can sign in with an email and password (we store only a bcrypt hash of your password), with a Google account, with an email magic link sent through Resend, or, when available, with a Spotify account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your credentials to yourself, use a unique password, and let us know quickly at info@rebolio.com if you think someone else got in. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page.
Acceptable use
Rebolio is meant to be a friendly place to track what you watch, read, listen to, and play. Please don't:
- Spam other users, lists, reviews, or comment threads.
- Scrape the site or hammer the API beyond reasonable personal use. If you need bulk access, please get in touch — there's usually a friendlier path than DDoSing the place.
- Post content that infringes copyright, harasses others, promotes violence, or breaks the law where you or your readers live.
- Upload malware, attempt to break authentication, or interfere with the service for other users.
Your content
Your logs, ratings, reviews, notes, lists, favorites, follows, likes, and comments are yours. You keep ownership of them. By posting them on Rebolio you grant Neosis Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute them within the service so that other users can see them where you have chosen to make them visible. The license ends when you delete the content or your account.
Public vs private
Profiles, reviews, and lists default to public unless you mark your profile or a specific list private. Public content may be indexed by search engines and accessed by anyone with the link. If you want something to stay between you and the app, set it to private before you post it.
Third-party content and links
Cover art, descriptions, and metadata shown in Rebolio are sourced from TMDB, Open Library, Spotify, and other catalog providers. Those works belong to their respective rights holders and are displayed under the terms of each provider. Rebolio does not claim ownership of them. The service may also link to other websites; Neosis Limited shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by use of any such third-party content or service.
Service availability and "AS IS" disclaimer
The hosted service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with no uptime guarantee and no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding functionality, compatibility, accuracy, or error-freedom. Things may break, features may move, and we may take the service down for maintenance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Neosis Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the amount you have paid for the service, or, if you have not paid anything, at USD 100. Nothing in these terms removes statutory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these terms, in particular around abuse, illegal content, or attacks against the service. Where possible we will give you a heads-up first. You can leave at any time by deleting your account from the settings page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use Rebolio after that counts as acceptance.
